For over fifty years, Otter Creek has delivered meals to residents of the Gernert Studio apartments. This is a low-income, high rise complex at the corner of 12th Avenue and Edgehill Avenue. This is an excellent opportunity for families with young children to participate together in service.
Meals are purchased from the Green Hills Kroger Deli and City Café Restaurant (Sundays) and charged to Otter Creek's account. Two families currently serve nine or ten meals each on Saturday and Sunday during lunch time. An individual’s time of service would come up two to three times during a four month period.
