Lesson Four: February 12, 2023
1. Christ did not give this for himself, but he gave the prayer to help us. How has this prayer helped you? Has it?
2. Discuss how the prayer that Jesus gives the disciples unfolds the gospel he proclaims.
3. Thy Kingdom Come! How does the context of the prayer influence your theology as you understand “kingdom”? example: People, Land, King, Values, Event, & Future.
4. Do you believe the kingdom is personal?
5. Do you believe the kingdom is social?
Prayer: We believe in your son, Jesus.
We believe he came to show us the heart of the Creator.
We believe in Jesus’ kingdom.
We desire to see his kingdom in all aspects of life.
May our bodies and lives be devoted to working for Jesus’ kingdom.
Help us to believe in the kingdom and believe in the kingdom the way Jesus believed in the kingdom.
The kingdom belongs to us.
We are your servants.
