- Why do you consider your closest friends your closest friends?
- Sometimes we refer to Jesus as our friend. What aspects of our relationship with Jesus would be identified as friendship?
- Peter, who was one of Jesus' closest disciples, denied even knowing Jesus after Jesus had been arrested. How did Jesus respond to this situation? How would you respond if one of your closest friends abandoned you?
- When was the last time you recognized heaven breaking into earth? Where are some of those thin spaces?
- What are some ways that our expectation of heaven might keep us from fully experiencing the love of God in our lives today? How can we be more friendship focused in our living and waiting?
