In the biblical model of faith communities having Shepherds to pastor and oversee the church, Otter Creek's Shepherds provide pastoral support to OC family members, provide theological direction, and serve in a leadership role for our church. Otter Creek Shepherd responsibilities are described in more detail in this Shepherd Job Description. The Shepherds are organized into Pastoral Teams to provide pastoral care to an assigned subset of the church. Those teams meet regularly to pray over OC family members' joys, needs, and hurts, and walk alongside people through life's ups and downs. Please let our Shepherds know if they can pray for you or offer any kind of pastoral care or spiritual guidance. The Shepherds manage some of their overseeing work through a subcommittee of Governance Shepherds.

Dave Morgan
GOVERNANCE
Dave Morgan has been married to his wife, Anna, for 30 years, and together they have two children: Emma (Robby) Evans and Sam Morgan. He and his family have been part of the OC family for 25 years.
Over the years, Dave has been deeply involved in many areas of ministry. He previously served on—and chaired—the MCC, and spent a decade rotating as a leader in Children’s Worship. More recently, he has remained active in OCYG, where he teaches and helps with training, regularly participates in camp, and enjoys teaching in the adult education program.
Dave began serving as a shepherd in September 2023. What he loves most about this role is the shared core of faith at OC alongside the rich diversity of perspectives within the church. He often reflects on Paul’s image in 1 Corinthians 12 of the church as “one body with many parts,” and values the way that vision is lived out in the OC family.
