Youth Encouragement Services (Y.E.S.) supports at-risk children in inner-city Nashville by encouraging them to realize their full potential and advocating a better
future for themselves and their families. Y.E.S. operates two youth centers in low-
income areas of Nashville: South Nashville - Woodbine Community and Downtown
Nashville - Napier/Sudekum Public Housing.
We serve hundreds of children through various programs including homework assistance, tutoring, organized sports, recreational activities, cultural enrichment, and social development. Y.E.S. meets children’s needs in every arena of development - academically, physically, spiritually and socially. For 60 years, we’ve made a difference for inner-city children, one child at a time!
How you can help:
- Be a mentor! One hour a month can add up to make a huge difference in a child's life
- Provide after-school homework assistance
- Share your passion (art, dance, sports, reading, cooking, etc.) with the kids of Y.E.S.
- Purchase items from Y.E.S.'s Amazon or Walmart wishlist so they can help meet changing needs during Covid-19.
