ALLYN WALKER
Allyn has been married to his wife Sara for 29 years. They have two daughters, Clae Walker Thompson (married to Isaiah Thompson) and Kobi Walker. Allyn is the owner of three Dale Carnegie Training Franchises which are global corporate training organizations. Allyn and his family came to Otter Creek 18 years ago after relocating from Colorado. Allyn recalls that they were impressed with OC for being sure of its identity. Their oldest was able to go to OC Kindergarten (prior to membership) which they feel was a wonderful life-forming experience for her. The children’s program and the opportunities to connect with others is what led them to make OC their church home. One of the things Allyn loves about OC is the passion for God’s kingdom breaking into our communities. Allyn and Sara have both served for many years in the OCYG and OCKids ministries. Allyn has taught classes, led huddle and covenant groups, and has served at retreats and summer camps. They feel Otter Creek is a nurturing place for youth and saw their daughters flourish at OC with people who loved them and encouraged them to use their gifts. In the past 18 years they have been able to build relationships with others that are deep and real.
