Dear Otter Creek Family:
My last two Sunday teachings on worship, Scripture, and Otter Creek Church (parts 1 and 2) are available HERE. Thank you for your continued conversation and questions. You may e-mail me ( ) or tweet me (@joshgraves) with other questions. Please give me a week or so to respond to your thoughtful inquiries.
To recap:
- The elders have written a beautiful vision for worship for Otter Creek.
- This vision has tangible values that guide our thinking, and plans for the future.
- The elders are committed to excellence in acapella, including the continuation to have at least one acapella only service on Sunday mornings.
- The elders will soon launch a logistical exploration per the possibility of adding a Sunday instrumental gathering/service.
- My two-week teaching series placed these basic elements in conversation in Biblical, historical, and cultural context (with a little Johnny Cash for good measure).
Also, the entire elder worship vision document is available for you to read online. You can read that wisdom piece by clicking HERE. If you've been traveling/away . . . I suggest reading the elder vision before listening to the two weeks of teaching.
It is an honor serving you. I love what God is doing in our faith community.
P.S. How awesome is it that Habitat has inspired us to raise close to $100k and over 500 volunteers? Keep these two projects soaked in prayer. Amen.
Peace,
Josh
