Spiritual formation retreats, camps, and getaways have a long history of being an important part of the OC family growing to be more like Jesus.

In 2017, as we approached the retirement of our debt, the church was invited to dream about the kinds of ministry we could pursue once we were debt-free.
One recurring theme at that time was the idea of having our own camp.

Thanks to the recent generosity of the church, an even bigger dream is beginning to come to life.
A team of Otter Creek members was tasked with casting and developing a vision for what a retreat center could look like—
one that could host camps and foster spiritual growth for all ages.

Join us on this journey as we watch and see what God will do.

UPDATES

Retreat Property Update | September 15, 2025

The acquisition of the retreat property is progressing smoothly. Inspections are well underway across buildings, wells and pumps, septic systems, vehicles/equipment, and environmental factors. In addition to thoroughly examining all the existing attributes of the property, we are also thinking ahead to our future use of the property for retreats and camps. Hickman County has approved our intended use for the property, and we’re partnering with a civil engineering firm on septic and water plans that will go to the county for approval.

We remain on track to close on November 17.

Even ahead of closing, ministries are already dreaming and sketching out events. This property represents a significant opportunity for spiritual formation and community building—for the OC family and our ministry partners. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Leadership Dinner | August 12, 2025

Various OC Leaders were able to share a dinner at the retreat property to tour the facilities and learn more about the vision for this new ministry. These leaders included shepherds, staff, Retreat Vision Team members, Retreat Implementation Team members, Various ministry leaders, Finance Team members, and some members who have experience with site planning and facilities. It was a great night to pray and dream about the future!
