Early Childhood Children’s Minister

Summary:

Coordinate nurseries

Responsibilities and Duties:

Children

• Prioritizing the safety and care of babies/toddlers

Parents

• Communicate with parents regarding nursery promotion, nursery procedures/protocols, allergies, special needs, etc. (quarterly)

Volunteers

• Recruit, train, support, and communicate with nursery volunteers
• Equip nursery volunteers with procedures to find subs if they will be out for their scheduled shift
• Make sure all nursery volunteers are screened and approved according to the Otter Creek Child Protection Policy

Curriculum & Environments

• Responsible for the curriculum used in nurseries
• Ensure that needed supplies are stocked and ready for class times in nurseries
• Make sure nurseries are properly cleaned and arranged in developmentally appropriate ways
• Manage the nursery budget lines

OCKids Events

• Attend and assist with “all ages” OCKids events which include nursery families
• Assist with Baby Dedication planning, administration, and execution
