Children's Ministry Policies

OC Kids Safety

The next phase in updating our safety standards begins on June 3 (Promotion Sunday)! Here is what to expect...

  • Each Sunday and Wednesday you will print off your child's name tag, as well as your parent pick up tag.

  • Place the name tag(s) on the back on your child's shirt so it can be easily seen by our team.

  • Head to the check-in/check-out station at the front of our child's hallway (except nurseries 1-4, which will remain the same) where you will be greeted by an OC Kids team member who will welcome your child and take them (as well as any bags) to their classroom. This updated safety standard ensures that all staff working in the OC Kids hallways have been screened and trained.

  • When you pick up your child at the check-in/check-out station, an OC Kids team member will greet you to ask for your pick-up tag to ensure it matches your child's tag, and dismiss them through the gate.

Child Protection Policy (pdf link)

We take child safety seriously - we hold the highest standards in teacher conduct, trustworthiness, and security in the administration of our sacred trust of caring for your children. Please read the details of our precautions and responsibilities outlined in our policy.

We developed a system for safe child drop off and pickup through our registration system called InFellowship (secure login). Members have a keyfob that can login their family members and receive sticker nametags with distinct coding to identify the parent or responsible party picking up a child from class. Children's classes meet from 10:25-11:30 a.m. To attend, all children must register at the computer kiosks located in the foyers. An attendant will assist your family with a smooth check-in and can provide directions to classroom locations.

Wellness Policy

Please help us provide a healthy environment in our classrooms by keeping your child at home when you observe any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever (in the past 24 hours)
  • Vomiting or diarrhea (in the past 24 hours)
  • Eye Discharge (in or around the eyes)
  • Questionable rashes
  • Other contagious illness

If your child becomes ill while in class, you will be promptly notified via text message. Please keep your phone on silent but vibrate mode so that we can contact you in case of emergency. For your child's protection, caregivers and teachers are asked to follow the same guidelines.

Allergy Alert

Your child's well-being is important to us. During their time here, children may touch or taste various foods. If your child has a food allergy or other dietary restriction, please communicate this to their teacher. If the snacks in the classroom are not ok for your child, please place a bright yellow “allergy alert” sticker on your child each week, and send appropriate snacks with your child each week.

Bringing a friend?

Pre-register to ensure a smooth, quick check-in for your family and guest:

If you are visiting, welcome! Please be assured we offer the same safety measures for your family through our Guest Registration of Family Information. If you would fill out this quick form in advance of visiting, it will make your login smooth at our Check-In computer kiosks. Click here for a church map to orient you to the convenient kiosk placements.

Event Registrations & Refunds

Because of our growing ministry and our sincere desire to be good stewards with church funds, the Children's Ministry has developed the following policy:
Children's Ministry Cancellation/Refund Policy

In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to honor refund requests. The amount refunded will be determined based on expenses already incurred. All refunds are made at the discretion of the Children's Ministers.
