Adult Spiritual Formation

Since Otter Creek’s beginning, wrestling with scripture and culture has been a staple of our faith community. We love to explore, through scripture, what God is doing in the world today. The purpose of our Adult Spiritual Formation Ministry is to help us continually mature in our pursuit of following Jesus.

Prayer is such a vital element of Christian spiritual formation. When we communicate with God and listen to hear what God might be saying to us, our relationship with God deepens as we are drawn closer to him. At Otter Creek, we believe in the power of prayer and want to pray with you and for you. Click here to request prayer from the elders or the church.

Communal Growth

One way grow in our discipleship is through coming together in classes to examine various topics. In so doing, we hope to mature in following Jesus and increase our spiritual friendships. We would love to have you attend one of our classes.

Individual Growth

It's also important to be growing closer to God on an individual basis. Here are some ways to be dwelling with God in the midst of the busyness of life.

Spiritual Discipline Blog
Knowing about spiritual disciplines or practices don't help your spiritual growth. You have to actually do them to experience growing closer to God. But finding a starting point can sometimes be difficult. Follow the Spiritual Discipline Blog to learn easy ways to engage in a new discipline each month.

Scripture Reading
Rooting one's life in the story of God shapes one's knowledge and experience of God more than any other practice. Fall into a rhythm of dwelling in the word everyday.

Video Curriculum
Otter Creek has a subscription to RightNowMedia.org which is like Netflix for churches. As a member of OC, you can have your own account to access thousands of rich, Christian video teachings. You can setup your own access or email our Community Life Minister, Eric Livingston, to set up your account.
